Christmas Trees

Christmas tree seekers are welcome to borrow a bow saw and climb aboard a tractor-drawn hayride. The hayride is one of the highlights of the Danville Farms experience; it allows visitors to get a close-up view of the 2,000 Virginia Pine Christmas trees available for sale during any given season.

Hayriders will also witness camera flashes, carol-singing, and general holiday cheer as families peruse the fields attempting to agree on the truly "perfect" Christmas tree. Once the tree has been selected and cut, it will be loaded onto the hayride for the return trip.

Arriving back at the sales area, families are welcome to look on as the Danville Farms "pit crew" removes dead pine needles from the tree, then bails and loads the tree into the appropriate vehicle. Some visitors take this opportunity to enjoy the campfire and roasted peanuts as they wait.

Danville Farms provides other services as well. Wreaths and garlands of various sizes are made fresh every day. For customer convenience, Christmas tree stands ranging in size and price may be purchased.

Beautifully flocked trees are also available at the farm. Some customers choose to select their ideal tree and then have it flocked to their specifications. Customers who choose a flocked tree should plan on a minimum of a twenty-four hour drying period.

Pre-cut Fraser Firs from North Carolina are available for those who would like to purchase a different tree due to allergies or personal preference.
